Reindeer Safari & Sami Culture Experience

Step into the ancient world of the Sámi people, the indigenous reindeer herders of Lapland, and experience life as it has been for centuries. The Reindeer Safari takes guests on a peaceful sleigh ride through snow-covered forests, led by experienced Sámi herders in traditional fur-lined attire. As the sleigh glides gently across the snow, you’ll hear the soft jingle of reindeer bells and the distant whisper of the Arctic wind. Along the journey, you’ll stop at a Sámi camp, where you can warm up inside a traditional kota (wooden hut) around a crackling fire. The herders share stories of their nomadic lifestyle, reindeer migration, and the Sámi joik (a unique form of singing).

Lapland’s Heritage!

At the Sámi cultural village, guests can learn how to throw a Sámi lasso, try on traditional Sámi clothing, and even sample delicious reindeer stew cooked over an open fire. The experience ends with a visit to a reindeer farm, where you can feed and pet the friendly reindeer. This is more than just a ride—it’s a journey into Lapland’s history and soul, offering an authentic look into the age-old bond between the Sámi and their reindeer.
